I keep a quote journal too!

Here's my favorite on grief:
'Grief is the price we pay for love' - Tom Batiuk ('Funky Winkerbean' cartoonist, in an interview about about allowing one of his characters to die from breast cancer).

I am chronically un-ordered. I've blogged a bit about it a couple of times; mostly just grousing about it. The core of it is still unexamined...but I strongly suspect it's a fear issue. And I *know* better than to be afraid. But there it is.

You're right, Lisa, of course. And maybe it's a good thing that we don't. Keeps us "loose," I suspect.

I'm going to try.

None of us know what our lives are going to look like in six months, if we're honest. Most of the time we don't acknowledge it, though.

I'm glad you've posted again.

I put on the apron and take utensils in hand about three days a week. I enjoy working in the kitchen and it gives my wife a break.

Thanks, Jann, for sharing that site. It looks worth exploring. Interestingly, the paradigm it promotes came first, didn't it?

Sounds like He's doing the laundry -- well, in a sense, maybe... once we're washed white as snow.

What a good end to a caroling visit, Lisa.

Ok, here's one for you...maybe not a great example, but, well...

In the 'end of the set' song the Willis-Flora family always sang every place we caroled, we squeezed 'God Be With You 'Till We Meet Again' in between 'Silent Night' and the Seven-fold Amen. Well, there's a line in there that is actually 'with His sheep securely fold you' that somehow got twisted around as 'with His sheets securely fold you.'

Somehow, that's not quite the right mental picture, is it?

...and the chicken was yummy.
;)

It's oddly comforting to know that we (as in the ones who live in this house) are not the only ones who can mis-communicate about things from time to time.
