Some people are writers. Some people need a wordsmith who writes for people who can’t, don’t, won’t, or shouldn’t write for themselves.
What my associates and I do grows out of a lifelong hunger for excellence, love of language, and drive to improve the world. It satisfies us to help businesses, nonprofits and individuals communicate exactly what they mean.
Recent projects have included:
- Writing and editing a monthly email marketing newsletter for a consultant
- Writing the script for an orientation training video for county employees
- Writing a grant proposal to a professional association’s foundation for a nonprofit agency
- Researching potential grantors for a nonprofit organization
- Writing a press release for a new entrepreneurial venture, creating language that the owner can use in other settings as well
- Creating the email marketing for a nonprofit social service agency from scratch.
- writing a strengths-focused resume for a credit analyst position
- Coaching a volunteer who’s writing a grant for a nonprofit agency
- Writing a monthly column for a local newspaper: You can read Loose Leaf Journal online.
What do I thrive on these days?
- Development and donor relations
- Finding strengths and maximizing them
- Connecting people to people, resources to needs, ideas to action
- Beauty
- Possibilities — the adventure of normal life
